Unique Gifts for RVers and Campers!

Gift shopping for an RVer and not sure what to get? Here, I’ve complied a few of our favorite things for the road: Helpful, functional, space-saving, and cute… You can’t go wrong shopping for the nomad in your life!

Bose Soundlink Speaker

For RVers, space is always at a premium, so small appliances need to pack a punch! Bose Sound Speakers are a popular item for both RV travelers and campers: Favorite tunes sound great, the speaker barely takes up any room, and is easily portable for indoor/outdoor use! One charge gets 12 hours of music- making this an awesome gift for the music-loving RVer in your life!

Camper Christmas Ornament

Many RVers love to decorate their rigs for the holidays! Granted, a tree might prove too big to fit inside, but we still find plenty of ways to fill our homes on wheels with holiday spirit. Jazz up any RV with Christmas cheer with this adorable RV ornament! (Hey, my mom bought this exact one for me… I hang it from our coat hanger, year-round!)

Outdoor Firepit

As nomads, RVers travel from the city to the beach, mountains to campgrounds. This gives us the opportunity to set up camp right outside our doors! Having a portable firepit is an awesome accessory for any outdoor-lover: Keep comfy and warm on cold nights, give a bit of ambiance, or make some delicious s’mores. A perfect gift for the nature-loving nomad in your life!

Roadside Rescue Kit

While on the road, RVers need to be prepared for anything. And since space is at a premium, having a go-to bag with both roadside emergency kit and a first aid kit, makes a very useful gift! This roadside rescue bag includes:

  • Jumper Cable
  • Heavy Duty Tow Strap
  • Emergency Blanket
  • 11-in-1 Multi-Tool
  • Flash Light
  • Bungee Cords
  • Fire Starter
  • Roadside Emergency Tools
  • And more!

When in comes to RVing, it’s not “if” an emergency will happen, it’s “when”. Having a multi-use bag with all the basics is a great gift for anyone on the road.

Portable Solar Generator

Solar generators and panels are a handy appliance to have on board an RV. There are various ways RVers can get electricity to run appliances, but sometimes a generator can’t be used in some sites, or shore power isn’t available). With the Jackery solar folding panels and generator, phones, laptops, external batteries, and other appliances can be powered by the sun!

Essential Tool Box

Tools can’t be underestimated for life on wheels. Things break, come loose, or need a little TLC… all the time. All RVers get a quick lesson in DIY repair once in living on the road, so a tool box is an absolute must! (The first day in our own RV, my dad gifted us with a tool box… and a few weeks in to RVing, we started having to pull it out for some DIY fixes.) A tool box is an essential accessory for everyone on the road!

Big Berkey Water Filter

Unlike a traditional sticks and bricks home- in which infinite water pours out of the tap- RVers need to put a bit more thought into the acquisition and filtration of water. On board, we’re limited to how much H20 is available before needing to refill. Often, RVers will make refill at a gas or truck station, or even use a friend’s hose to fill up. Since we get our water from various sources- with various degrees of cleanliness- a water filtration system is essential. Berkey water filters are one of the most popular water filter systems for travelers in vans and RVs.

Camper Glow Lights

Adding some twinkly camper-themed lights to any trailer is a cute decoration. Whether it’s for the holidays, birthday, or just for a little je nais se qois, these glow lights give RV life a little kick!

Coffee French Press

For many of us, coffee is a delicious morning necessity. A French Press is the best way to make coffee in an RV: No electricity needed, simple to use, and they brew a great cup o’ joe (or espresso!). A French Press makes for a beautiful and functional kitchen gift for any nomad on the road.

Folding Camp Stove Toaster

Electricity is not always available while in an RV… so, that can mean toaster ovens are off-limits! But, RVers can still make some crunchy toast with a folding camp stove toaster! To make some toast, it’s simple: Unfold, place on the RVs stove, put bread slices on the wires, and let the stove do it’s magic! When done, just fold it back up and put away! This is such a great present for RVers, vanlifers, and campers alike.

Stuffed Waffle Maker

Delicious breakfasts made super easy with this stuffed waffle maker! The combos are endless: S’mores-filled, strawberry cheesecake, nutella, and even savory waffles with eggs, cheese, and anything else are possible with this handy little appliance. Sweet and savory waffle sandwiches on the road? Yes, please!

Collapsible Cooking Pot and Pan

Mulit-use, folding, space-saving accessories are an RVer’s dream. Traditional kitchen pots and pans are often big, bulky, and often a necessary evil… But, there are now collapsible cooking pots that nest with a matching pan- saving a ton of space, and making RV life much easier! The folding pot works like any other traditional metal pot: Boil water, make pasta, potatoes, rice… when done, just clean, collapse, and put it away!

Fire Tablet Waterproof E-Reader

Book-loving nomads know keeping books on the shelves takes up a lot of much-needed room, and (if they have a lot of tomes) can add weight to the RV. Having a Fire Tablet e-reader to download books and magazines is one great way to keep all the clutter at a minimum.

Dr. Bronner’s Liquid Soap Set

For life on the road, Dr. Bronner’s is a god-send. This mighty liquid can be used as:

  • Shampoo
  • Soap
  • RV mutli-purpose cleaner
  • Toothpaste
  • Laundry Detergent
  • Toilet Bowl Cleaner
  • Dishwasher
  • Bath liquid
  • And more!

Personally, we’ve been using Dr. Bronner’s for all of the above since moving in to our RV- and it’s awesome! A little goes a long way, the scents are natural and smell great, and- being so versatile- you get a lot of bang for your buck! Dr. Bronner’s is a great addition for anyone’s RV, and a cute gift!

GoGirl Travel Pee Funnel

You want to know a secret? Many RVers and vanlifers have had to pee outdoors or in bottles. For female travelers, this can cause a bit of a problem, so to make emergencies a little less stressful and messy, a GoGirl funnel is a great gift to have at the ready!

Portable Battery

Having an external battery to charge phones, earbuds, tablets or other small appliances is helpful to have on the road. Electricity and generators aren’t always available in an RV, so having a backup for the essentials comes in very handy!

Shampoo Bars

Another favorite for nomads: Shampoo bars! These small, concentrated bars are amazing for the road: they take up less room than bottles of shampoo, can be kept in cabinets, drawers, or the shower, later up nicely, and leave hair smelling great! (We’ve been using these for years, and love how easy they are to use, and how amazing our hair smells!)

Bamboo Camper Cutting Board

All RVs need a cutting board, and what cuter kind to get than a camper-shaped bamboo board? Bamboo is a renewable resource, as well as a sturdy wood for long-term use, making it a great little addition to anyone living the RV life.

Scratch Your Travels USA Map

Creative and beautiful, this traveler’s map of America is a scratchable journal: For every state visited, scratch the area to reveal the rainbow colors underneath! A fun, interactive gift for anyone with wanderlust.

Stay Class C T-Shirt

Ah, RV humor! For anyone in a Class C RV with a funny bone they like to tickle, this play-on-words t-shirt is a funny gift.

Electric Coffee, Cocoa, and Beverage Stirrer

Another space-saving kitchen must-have, this electric stirrer can make lattes, hot cocoa, and teas frothy and well-mixed. A very popular item for RVers: Easy to charge, use, and clean, this stirrer kicks hot beverages up a few notches.

Portable Blender

Bigger, more traditional blenders require a lot of energy to run, and since electricity isn’t always available in an RV, having a compact, energy-efficient blender is an awesome gift! This handheld blender powers up with a usb, and makes single-serving smoothies and shakes! After blending, the body twists off, and becomes a portable, travel cup!

Wrap Up

For RVers living on the road, there are a few essentials we’re all cognizant of: Space, efficiency, electricity requirements, and ease-of-use. Gifts that are functional, space-saving, and helpful really make our day! With this list of RV gifts, you can’t go wrong shopping for the nomad in your life!
